Akane Matsumura /KlaVier /Piano
geb. 1981 in Tokushima, Japan, erhielt ihren ersten Klavierunterricht im Alter von vier Jahren unter der Leitung von Prof. Toshiko Kosai. Sie besuchte die „The Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music“, wo sie bei Professor Haruo Kometani studierte und im Jahr 1999 abschloss. Zwei Jahre später, im Jahr 2001, wurde sie an der berühmten Juilliard School aufgenommen; dort führte sie ihre Studien unter dem renommierten Pianisten und Professor Herbert Stessin weiter. Sie schloss das Studium 2006 mit dem Bachelor of Arts in Music ab. Bis 2011 studierte sie bei Professor Adrian Oetiker an der Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel, wo sie das Master Solisten Diplom und das Konzert Diplom abschloss.
Sie gibt Solo- und Kammermusikkonzerte in Japan, Europa, Nord- und Südamerika. Sie trat als Solistin mit dem Tokyo Academia Symphonica, dem Osaka Century Orchester, dem Sinfonieorchester Basel und anderen Orchestern auf. Sie ist Preisträgerin von vielen internationalen Solo und Kammermusik Wettbewerben.

Born in 1981 in Tokushima, Japan, Akane Matsumura received her first piano lessons at the age of four from Prof. Toshiko Kosai. She attended The Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, where she studied with Professor Haruo Kometani and graduated in 1999. Two years later, in 2001, she was admitted to the famous Juilliard School; there she continued her studies under the renowned pianist and professor Herbert Stessin. She graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Until 2011 she studied with Professor Adrian Oetiker at the Music Academy of the City of Basel, where she completed the Master Soloist Diploma and the Concert Diploma.
She gives solo and chamber music concerts in Japan, Europe, North and South America. She has performed as a soloist with the Tokyo Academia Symphonica, the Osaka Century Orchestra, the Basel Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras. She has won prizes at many international solo and chamber music competitions.
