Iris Ewald-Tillner / Geige / Violine
Geboren 1986, hat Iris Ewald-Tillner bei Igor Karsko in Luzern und bei Prof. Ulrike Danhofer an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien Violine studiert und 2013 den Master mit Auszeichnung abgeschlossen. Weitere musikalische Inspirationen erhielt sie an Meisterkursen u. a. von Detlef Hahn, Ina Dimitrova und Barbara Doll.
Sei spielt in diversen Schweizer Ensembles und unterrichtet an der Musikschule der Stadt Solothurn. Iris ist gerne vermittelnd tätig und führt die jungen Menschen an Musikstile heran, in denen sie sich noch nicht zuhause fühlen. Neben dem Spielen von Kammermusik liegt ihr Dirigierarbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen besonders am Herzen. So leitete sie etwa die Uraufführung der Kinderoper Penelope's Game mit 35- köpfigem Orchester, Chor und Solisten am Stadttheater Solothurn im Juni 2019.
Iris konzertiert oft mit Duopartner und Pianist Jonathan Stich zusammen. Seit Beginn ihres Zusammenspiels pflegt das Duo das Programmieren eher selten gespielter Musikliteratur und so findet sich in ihrem Repertoire insbesondere Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts.

Born in 1986, Iris Ewald-Tillner studied violin with Igor Karsko in Lucerne and with Prof. Ulrike Danhofer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 2013 she graduated with a Master Degree.
She plays in various Swiss ensembles and plays at the Music school of the city of Solothurn. Besides music, Iris likes to act as a mediator and introduces young people to styles of music in which they don't feel at home yet. Besides playing chamber music, conducting is very important to her.
She conducted the premiere of the children's opera “Penelope's Game” with a 35-piece orchestra, choir and soloists at the Stadttheater Solothurn in June 2019.

From the beginning of their collaboration, the duo performed rarely played music literature. For their repertoire, music of the 20th century is particularly important.
